Beaujolais Nouveau Day - Nov 18th
One of the biggest days in the wine calendar – a chance to celebrate the first wine of the vintage. 2021 has been a difficult vintage for many winemakers with unpredictable weather conditions, frost and intermittent summer. So there isn’t much wine but we still need to celebrate the vintage.
This tradition started as Beaujolais (Bojo) is often drank young as it’s so fruit forward and can be easy to drink. People would race back from France on planes to be the first to land the wine. It’s a chance to shine a light on the wonderful region of Beaujolais as the wines are loved throughout the wine world.
We’ll be pouring Le Grappin Beaujolais by the glass – pop down to our pitstop tasting for a sip. Bert & Jac have a special connection with Andew & Emma from Le Grappin as they have helped to make the wine during harvests previously.
